- The station, with an investment of more than 14 million euros, will have a passenger building, two platforms and a lower pass with elevators, and will provide sustainable mobility service to the northern area of the municipality.
- At the same time, progress is made in the execution of the platforms and their facilities, in the interior of the building and in the urbanization, both interior and exterior.
- Subsequently, Renfe, which will be in charge of managing the station, will install the rest of the necessary equipment to request the commissioning of the State Railway Safety Agency (AESF).
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, through Adif, advances in the works of the new station of Pinto La Tenería on the C-3 line of Neighbourhoods. The work progresses at a good pace and faces its final stretch, once the structure and roof is completed, as well as the conditioning of the tracks, electrification and signaling.
This action, framed in the Madrid Proximity Plan, will involve a global investment of more than 14 million euros. The station of La Tenería will serve the northern area of Pinto, it will have a passenger building of 450 m2 of surface on one floor, which will house a lobby, spaces for the management of the station, toilets and facilities area.
This building will serve two platforms of 225 m in length and about 6.5 m in width, partially covered with a 100 m long roof, and with shelters to protect travelers from inclement weather. The platforms will be connected with a lower passage that will have elevators, as well as fixed stairs, to ensure accessibility.
Adif currently works in the facilities, pavements and interior partitions, as well as in the exterior cladding, a succession of ‘skins’ on the façade that will provide the interior with different degrees of lighting.
In order to enable this point as a train stop, maintaining the operating conditions of the C-3 line of Proxies, Adif has completed the works associated with the remodeling of the track beach, the adaptation of the electrification system and the control, command and signaling facilities (CMS).
Without affecting the circulation
Likewise, the lower step for communication between the platforms has been executed. In order not to affect the railway circulation, the passage has been built through the execution process and hinca under the tracks, that is, a ‘drawer’ was built in an integral block next to the tracks to, subsequently, push it and fix it in its final position. The structure of the stairs for the connection of the lower passage with the platforms has also been realized.
In addition, in platform 1, the platform wall, the canalizations, the filling and the paving have already been executed, while in platform 2 the platform wall, the land filling and the canalizations have ended.
The contract also included the adaptation of the area of approach to the station, coordinated with the City of Pinto, to enhance the pedestrian in front of the car, avoiding any type of architectural barrier in the connection with the city. In this area, the tree plantations, the sanitation network, the irrigation network and the canalizations have been completed.
It also includes a reservation of space for parking and exchange with sustainable urban modes of transport, such as bicycles, scooters, and electric motorcycles, among others, as well as an area for timely parking of vehicles that come to pick up or take travelers to the station.
Building of travelers and platforms
Inside the building, work will continue on the different facilities, pavements, interior partitions, paintings, carpentry and locksmithing, false ceilings, signage, interior and exterior coverings.
In the area of the platforms, progress is made in the staircase cores and in the elevators that will connect with the lower passage, as well as in the exterior enclosures, facilities and pipelines. Subsequently, the installation of the marquees will be completed and the execution of the refuges for travelers and the signage will be addressed.
In terms of urbanization, the interior works on the paving and pergola between the building and the canopy of the platform 1, as well as on the paving of the exterior, where later lighting, water supply, fire protection, horizontal and vertical signage and urban equipment will be installed.
Once Adif completes the works, Renfe, who will be in charge of the management of the station, will install the rest of the necessary equipment, to finish with the request for the authorization of commissioning to the State Railway Safety Agency (AESF).
