The third territorial meeting convened by the Government Delegation in the Community of Madrid was held this afternoon at the Rectorado of the University of Alcalá (Colegio de San Ildefonso) and brought together representatives of 25 municipalities of the east of the Community of Madrid to continue advancing in the design of the security, mobility and civil protection device for the activities planned during the solar eclipse on August 12.
The delegate of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín, who presided over the meeting, stressed the importance of collaboration between administrations to prepare for this event: “From the coordination and collaboration between the different administrations is how we can give an answer to the level that the citizens will demand of us.”
The town councils of Ajalvir, Alcalá de Henares, Algete, Ambite, Anchuelo, Camarma de Esteruelas, Cobeña, Corpa, Daganzo de Arriba, Fresno de Torote, Los Santos de la Humosa, Meco, Nuevo Baztán, Olmeda de las Fuentes, Paracuellos de Jarama, Pezuela de las Torres, Pozuelo del Rey, Ribatejada, Santorcaz, Albiltorz, Alcala or Valtorz, Altoro Valera
Representatives of the State Security Forces and Bodies, the General Directorate of Traffic, the Madrid 112 Security and Emergency Agency, the Regional Transport Consortium and the local police of the municipalities convened have also participated.
This third meeting took place after the meetings held in Buitrago de Lozoya and El Molar. A fourth meeting will soon take place in Collado Medio to complete this round of territorial coordination.
