The importance of sharing the citizenship of the palm trees has been a great example of unity and a great response to continue in the processes of aid in all its areas, the coordination response of public and private institutions has been fundamental to the plafnification of the island, through a project "Revivir El Valle", initiative managed by the Univerdad de La Laguna Foundation.
One year after the eruption, the following amounts have been mobilized by public administrations:
The Government of Spain has mobilized aid in an amount equivalent to 470.2 million euros, which corresponds to 80% of the total of 591 million euros foreseen in aid and transfers.
The Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands has mobilized 92.95 million euros.
The Cabildo de la Palma has activated 80 million euros of its budget for the volcanic emergency and the support to the municipalities in the social emergency.
In total, the set of measures articulated by the administrations has benefited more than 24,000 families, companies and farmers.
