- Francisco Martín Aguirre is aware of the redevelopment project of the El Quiñón neighborhood, one of the projects financed with European funds channeled by the Government of Spain.
The government delegate in the Community of Madrid, Francisco Martín Aguirre, visited today the neighborhood of El Quiñón in San Martín de la Vega, one of the enclaves that will benefit from the more than 7 million euros of European funds received by the municipality of Madrid.
Accompanied by the mayor, Rafael Martínez Pérez, and the Councilor for Works and Infrastructure, Sergio Neira Nieto, he has seen first-hand the main lines of the redevelopment project that will transform one of the most populated neighborhoods of the municipality.
The delegate stressed that “San Martín de la Vega is one of the municipalities in the Community of Madrid that is receiving the most European funds in the initiatives and calls promoted by the Government of Spain”.
In this line, the councilor explained how “of the more than 7 million euros that San Martín de la Vega will receive, much will go to El Quiñón that integrates four neighborhoods: El Quiñón, Rafael Botí, Residencial San Martín and Rafael Pintor Botín”. Among other actions, the investment will go to the steelworks, parks, gardens and lighting.
