· The Local Security Board has been co-chaired by the government’s deputy delegate to the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the mayor of Pinto, Salomón Aguado Manzanares.
The City of Pinto has held today an extraordinary Local Security Board to coordinate the special device planned on the occasion of the Patron Saint Festivities in honor of the Virgin of the Assumption, which will take place from August 8 to 15.
The main objective of the Security Plan is to ensure the safety of neighbours and visitors, as well as to ensure the normal development of programmed acts through preventive planning, close institutional coordination and the efficient use of available operational capacities.
To this end, a reinforced device will be deployed in which the Pinto Local Police will have the collaboration of the local police forces of Parla and Valdemoro, Civil Guard patrols, the air surveillance service through drones (UAS), the Police Intelligence Section (SIPOL), private security and the First Municipal Emergency and Rescue Intervention Service, PIMER - Civil Protection.
The main measures envisaged include access control, the prevention of agglomerations, the monitoring of aphors, the protection of evacuation routes and external safety filters. The device will pay special attention to those spaces with greater concentration of activity such as the musical tent, the auditorium and the fairground. Also the outer ring with preventive access filters, as the first security barrier.
The security situation
The session was co-chaired by the Subdelegate of the Government to the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, and the Mayor of Pinto, Salomón Aguado Manzanares; and it was attended by members of the team of Government, Civil Guard, Local Police, Civil Protection and Community of Madrid.
It has also analyzed the security situation of the municipality that, in the year accumulated, would have experienced an increase in criminal offenses, mainly due to the increase in theft and computer fraud.
However, Pinto continues to be below the regional average in terms of crime. According to the Secretary of State’s Crime Balance of March 2026, the municipality recorded a crime rate of 46.1; nine points below the average of the Community of Madrid, located at 55.2.
Recognition of collaboration in the fires
During Question and Plea Time, representatives of the Local Police and Civil Protection of Pinto referred to the participation of both services in the support work carried out during the emergency caused by the fires last July in the Community of Madrid.
The Government’s deputy delegate thanked for the willingness and commitment shown, and stressed the importance of coordination between administrations and emergency services to provide an effective response to this type of situation.
