The security device that the Government Delegation in Madrid will activate for the first leg of the UEFA Conference League pre-match which will be played tomorrow, Thursday 20 August, at the Coliseum, between Getafe CF and FK Partizan in Belgrade, will be made up of more than 300 troops.
Specifically, the operation will be formed on this occasion by agents of the National Police —from the Police Intervention Unit, Prevention and Reaction Unit, Cavalry Unit, Air Unit with drone and anti-drone capabilities, Provincial Information Brigade and Canine Guides—; the Municipal Police of Getafe; the Traffic Group of the Civil Guard (ATGC); components of SAMUR-Civil Protection; the Fire Brigade, and security guards and assistants of the football club itself.
The match has been declared a High Risk by the Permanent Commission of the State Commission against Violence, Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Sport, which obliges clubs to adopt additional security measures in the system of ticket sales, separation of hobbies within sports venues and control of access to the stadium.
In addition, the security forces reinforce their preventive deployments, especially those related to the surveillance of the swellings, always in coordination with all the operators involved in the celebration of the sporting event and the protection of the attendees.
Some 670 Serbian fans are expected to attend with admission. The current maximum capacity is limited to about 10,200 people due to the remodelling works of the Getafense camp. In order to speed up police work and taking into account the relocation of the seats, it is recommended that all attendees go to the stadium well in advance to pass the security checks.
