The Government’s Deputy Delegate in Lugo, Olimpia López, announced today the activities that will take place from next Monday on the occasion of Open Administration Week, which will include a guided visit to the Monterroso Penitentiary Center, two open days to publicize the services of the Subdelegation to the citizens and a talk on e-government.
The main objective of this initiative is to publicize the functioning of Public Administrations following the principles of Aberto Government, such as transparency and citizen participation. Thus, on Monday, May 18, the subdelegate will attend the guided visit to the Monterroso Penitentiary Center, aimed at students of the higher cycle in social integration of the Integrated Center of Professional Training of the Polytechnic of Lugo.
On Tuesday, May 19, the Subdelegation will host, at 11:00 a.m., the visit of the fourth grade students of the ESO of the IES Lucus Augusti. López will receive the visitors and staff of the Subdelegation to show them the facilities and explain the origins of the institution. In addition, the head of the Unit against violence against women, Rosa María Rivas, will offer a talk on violence in digital environments and how to prevent it. On Thursday, May 21, users of civic centers will attend a talk entitled "E-Government" in the Subdelegation, at 10:00 a.m., which will deal with the usual procedures, the usefulness of e-government and access to the Transparency Portal.
Finally, on Friday, May 22, the doors of the Sub-Delegation of Lucense will be open to the general population (until complete capacity) interested in getting to know its operation and the main public services that it has, which you can see first-hand in a guided tour starting at 10 a.m. The subdelegate encourages the Lucenses to know “the work that is carried out in the institution, as a link between the citizenship of Lugo and the Government of Spain”.
