- Inaugurated by the Subdelegate of the Government to the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez.
- With the participation of 90 workers from the Spanish Tax Administration Agency (AEAT), the National Social Security Institute (INSS) and the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS).
The Government Delegation in Madrid today gave a new training day on Violeta Points aimed at workers from the Spanish Tax Administration Agency (AEAT), the National Institute of Social Security (INSS) and the General Treasury of Social Security (TGSS).
The session was opened by the Government’s deputy delegate in Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, who welcomed the more than 90 participants, highlighting the importance of training since “male violence is not an isolated phenomenon, it is not a specific situation. It responds to well-established social patterns, manifests itself in diverse forms, sometimes very recognizable, sometimes imperceptible. That is why training becomes especially important, especially for people who work in the Public Administration.”
Given by the head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Delegation, Eva Corrales Melero, the activity has offered knowledge and resources to be able to provide the first help that a victim of male violence requires through the so-called Violeta Points, information, awareness and attention spaces.
Included in the Catalogue of Urgent Measures of the Plan for Improvement and Modernization against Gender Violence, the Violeta Points are instruments promoted by the Ministry of Equality to involve the whole of society in the fight against male violence and to spread, in a massive way, the information necessary to know how to act in a case of violence against women.
