The Local Security Board of Valdemoro, held today in the City Council, has served to review and approve the security device planned for the patron festivities of the Christ of Health, which will take place at the beginning of May, one of the most relevant events of the festive calendar of the municipality.
During the meeting it has become clear that a high influx of public is expected, since this year it does not coincide with other celebrations in municipalities. Nearby, which is expected to increase the number of visitors. Faced with this scenario, it has been agreed to intensify preventive and control measures, with the aim of guaranteeing the normal development of the programmed acts and citizen security.
Among the planned actions is the establishment of controls on access to the municipality during the holidays, as well as a strengthening of the police presence in the areas with the greatest concentration of people. This device will have the joint collaboration of the Civil Guard and the Local Police, who will coordinate their forces to cover both surveillance tasks and traffic regulation and response to possible incidents.

The security situation in the municipality has also been reviewed, which shows a very positive balance: The percentage of criminal offenses fell by more than 13% in 2025 compared to the previous year, and the crime rate fell by 6.25 points compared to 2024, placing the same 15 points below the Community of Madrid average, which also fell.
In addition, so far in 2026 there has been a 4% decrease in criminal offenses compared to the same period of 2025, including a 7% decrease in criminal offenses against the Heritage. These data, according to Pilar Trinidad, represent “great news with which to celebrate the holidays prudently”.
