The Adanaro Palace is not only the semblance of an architectural jewel of the beginning of the century, it is above all, a tour of an exceptional place, where history and memory intersect. It is the portrait of a building, which was conceived as a symbol of distinction and personal refuge, but which has been transformed over time until it became a public space, open and at the service of citizens.
The Palace of the Marquis of Villamejor: a historic site
The Palacio de Villamejor occupies a prominent place in the history of Spain since its construction in 1893 under the project of the construction master José Purkiss. Faithful reflection of the architectural and artistic taste of the Madrid aristocracy of the late nineteenth century, it was sold to the State for the installation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, an organ that will celebrate 200 years of history in 2023.
