He has worked as an engineer in both the public and private sectors and is responsible for managing projects in the fields of civil, forestry and environmental engineering, as well as in communication and institutional relations in international contexts.

Head of Cabinet of the President of the Tragsa Group in 2011 and head of action in the civil reconstruction project of the province of Badghis (Afghanistan) in 2012.

From 2017 to June 2018 he was Director of Administration and Finance of the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE).

Director of the Technical Cabinet of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Government (June 2018 - January 2020). He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Paradores de Turismo de España, S.M.E., S.A.

Director of the Department of Planning and Monitoring of Government Activity of the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Government (January 2020-July 2021).

Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Government from July 2021 until his current appointment.

Member of the National Heritage Board and member of the Board of Trustees of the International Foundation and for Ibero-America of Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP), from July 2021 to March 2023.
