The workers of the Delegation of the Government of Spain in the Community of Madrid, headed by the Subdelegate of the Government in the Community of Madrid, Pilar Trinidad Núñez, have observed a minute of silence to condemn the last three feminicides confirmed for alleged gender violence in Asturias, Murcia and Malaga.
In Asturias, the victim is a 50-year-old woman, allegedly killed by her 49-year-old ex-partner on August 5. The woman had two minor daughters and there were previous complaints of male violence against the alleged aggressor.
On the other hand, in Murcia the victim is a 44-year-old woman, allegedly killed by her 38-year-old ex-partner on August 5. The victim had a minor daughter and there were also previous reports of gender-based violence against the alleged aggressor.
In Malaga, this is a 45-year-old woman, allegedly murdered by her ex-partner, on July 21, 2026. The victim had no daughters or minor children. There were no previous complaints of gender-based violence against the alleged aggressor.
With the confirmation of these cases, the number of women killed by gender violence amounts to 36 in 2026 and 1,376 since 2003, when these data were first collected. The number of minors orphaned by gender violence in Spain amounts to 26 in 2026 and 536 since 2013.
The institutional statement, read by the Secretary General of the Government Delegation, Inés Represa Cuevas, recalled the methods of communication that victims have at their disposal, such as telephone 016, online consultations through the email address 016-online@igualdad.gob.es, the WhatsApp channel in the number 600 000 016 and online chat, accessible from the website violenciagenero.igualdad.gob.es, which operate 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
On the other hand, it also recalls that in an emergency situation you can call 112 or the emergency telephones of the National Police (091) and of
the Civil Guard (062). In case it is not possible to make a call and in a situation of danger, you can use the ALERTCOPS application, from which an alert signal will be sent to the police with geolocation.
These means of assistance can be activated by the victim and by any A person who knows or suspects a case of gender-based violence.
