- Traffic will be cut from Monday, February 23 to the month of May, predictably, maintaining pedestrian traffic at all times.
- The action has a budget of 833,000 euros financed by European funds within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility is carrying out the improvement works of the upper pass located at kilometer 38.6 of the A-6, in the municipality of Collado Villalba, in the province of Madrid.
This action has a current budget of 832,803 euros (VAT included) and is financed from European funds within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
For this reason, from 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 23, traffic will be cut in the aforementioned upper pass, maintaining pedestrian traffic at all times. The cut will last until the month of May, and planning may be altered in case of adverse weather conditions.
To ensure the fluidity of traffic, the following alternative itineraries will be enabled:
- The vehicles that circulate from the Avda. Honorio Lozano towards the service road A Coruña (Camino de la Fonda street) should use the service road Madrid and change direction in the upper pass of kilometre 37.
- The vehicles that circulate from the service road A Coruña to Honorio Lozano Avenue will do so through the upper passage of kilometer 39, Eufemia Herranz Street and Real Street.
Characteristics of the works:
- Extension of the sidewalk on the Madrid side in the road that connects Honorio Lozano Avenue with the service road A Coruña.
- Implantation of a new semi-perforated pedestrian crossing in said vial, at the mouth of the pedestrian ramp coming from the southern service road.
- Placement of new containment systems.
- Improvement of the lighting.
- Relocation of the existing pedestrian crossing at kilometer 38.56 of the service road A Coruña to the surroundings of kilometer 38.6, with the creation of a physical island of refuge in a cebreated area.
