- The last three approved public employment offers total 92,692 places for the General State Administration
- The ageing of the staff of the AGE, with an average age of 52 years, almost ten years more than the working population in Spain, makes important offers of public employment necessary to rejuvenate the workforce and guarantee public services
- The “Talent Acquisition Plan” launched by the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Service seeks the best professionals to work in the AGE
Madrid March 9, 2021.- The Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Service participates on March 9, 10 and 11, through the General Directorate of the Public Service, in the Virtual Employment Fair at the Complutense University of Madrid.
The stand of the Directorate General of Public Service will be open to visitors permanently during the Fair, with material and information on public employment and the possibilities of access and promotion in the Public Service.
The people who visit the Fair will also have access to a chat in which they can ask questions that will be answered immediately through a “network of speakers”, in which 30 employees and public employees who work in the “Talent Acquisition Plan” will participate.
Latest public job offers looking for talent
The last three offers of public employment of the AGE have been very important, after several years with the restocking rate below the pensions that were registered or with zero restocking rate for four years, except a minimum incorporation to priority sectors.
The Public Employment Offer of 2018 began to break with that trend, increasing the replacement rate and with the approval of 30,844 places. The following year, the 2019 Public Employment Offer was the largest in the last eleven years, with 33,793 places. And the Public Employment Offer of 2020, collected 28,055 new places, including the largest offer in internal promotion in history, with 8,996 places.
It should also be stressed that in the last two years more than 11,000 places for regulating temporary employment were agreed on in public employment offers, processes that have allowed the General Administration of the State to reduce the percentage of interim workers today to below 8%.
The “Talent Acquisition Plan”, as the process to rethink the selection processes, to accelerate them over time, guaranteeing the principles of equality, merit and capacity, launched by the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP), aims to modernize the AGE and guarantee public services.
“Talent Acquisition Plan”
The “Talent Acquisition Plan” launched by the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Service pursues all these objectives: to rejuvenate the staff of the AGE (with an average of 52 years), to guarantee in the future the excellent public services it provides to citizens and to attract the best professionals for the Public Administration of the 21st century.
The Plan focuses on universities, schools and vocational training centers, where the General Administration of the State approaches university students and students, explaining to them, as the Complutense University did these days, the opportunities that public employment offers them today, the possibilities of promotion and professional development that they will find and, at the same time, putting in value the public and showing them what it means to access the AGE today and the pride of being able to become a public employee at the service of citizenship.
