- He has done the same for the construction of three other Neighbourhoods in Almussafes, Elche and Seseña. The latter would serve the C-3 line of Cerca Madrid.
- The implementation of the new stops to improve mobility and railway connectivity in the towns of València, Alicante, Toledo and Madrid will be analyzed.
- The action responds to the objectives of the Ministry’s 2030 Sustainable, Secure and Connected Mobility Strategy.
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has awarded €276,182 (including VAT) for the drafting of feasibility studies for the implementation of four Local Ports in Almussafes (province of Valencia), Elche Parque Empresarial (Alicante), Seseña (Toledo) and Fuencarral-Norte (Madrid).
Specifically, through this contract awarded to the company ARDANUY INGENIERÍA, S.A., the possibility of establishing these new stops on existing sections will be analyzed to strengthen mobility and railway connectivity and thus improve social cohesion and contribute to solving mobility problems.
In this way, it is proposed:
• An apeadero in Almussafes to provide service on the C2 line of Neighbourhoods in the heart of Valencia and improve access by public transport to the Juan Carlos I Industrial Park.
• For its part, the possibility of establishing a stop in Elche Parque Empresarial on the C-1 line of Cerca Murcia/Alicante will be analyzed to improve public transport in this urbanized industrial area.
• The Seseña roadhouse would serve on the C-3 line of Cerca Madrid. In this case, we will analyze both the alternative of reopening the old apeadero, without service since 2007, and the execution of a new one that, due to its location, can provide a more adequate service to a municipality with several population centers. In both cases, since the existing line is located outside the urban center, the mobility needs of these centers will be analyzed to give access to the new station.
• As far as the Fuencarral-Norte roadhouse is concerned, it would serve on the C-4 line of Cerca Madrid. Although currently the Fuencarral district already has a Commuter service, a future station is planned in Fuencarral-Malmea which, replacing the existing one, will allow to optimize the passenger service and the railway operation.
In this context, the feasibility of having a second station in the environment of Fuencarral-Norte to meet the future demand associated with the planned urban developments will be studied, as well as the possible connection with the metro line 10 of Madrid to improve the travel times of Alcobendas and San Sebastian de los Reyes with the center of Madrid.
This action responds to the objectives of the Sustainable, Secure and Connected Mobility Strategy 2030 and is part of the Indicative Strategy for the development, maintenance and renovation of the railway infrastructure, whose main mission is to establish a financial framework and priorities of the railway planning, establishing a set of basic guidelines aimed at satisfying the future needs of mobility and the financial sustainability of the railway system.
