April 28, 2024. The Government of Spain will improve road safety, sustainability, energy efficiency and humanize the national highway N-122 as it passes through El Burgo de Osma, which includes its crossing. The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility has drafted the project that has a budget of approximately 8,420,693 euros.
The section in which the General Direction of Roads of the State will act is between the kilometer points 211,610 and 218,000 of the N-122, including the crossing that is between the kilometer points 212,600 and 215,500.
Once the works are completed, the section will be ceded to the City Council of El Burgo de Osma as established by the framework for the conclusion of delivery agreements to the city councils of urban roads of the state network.

Sections 1 and 3 correspond to the peri-urban area and section 2 is the El Burgo de Osma Crossing itself. The 1 has 0.99 kilometers. The length of section 2 is 2.90 kilometers. And the 3 consists of 2.50 kilometers.
It is basically a unique type of road section with two lanes, one for each sense of circulation. There is also a type section of two lanes in a single direction on the two roundabouts of the N-122, before and after the urban core, which allow entry and exit to the A-11 bypass motorway.
