Renfe extends the alternative transport plan on trains from Asturias, Cantabria and León by building the high-speed line to Cantabria

Work on the infrastructure has been concentrated to the maximum during the weekends of August 1 and 2 and August 8 and 9 for a minor affectation.

More than 3,400 young people from Asturias born in 2008 have applied for the Young Cultural Voucher 2026 in its first month of validity

People who have reached or reached the age of 18 in 2026 can apply for this help on the web https://bonoculturajoven.gob.es/ until 31 October.
Since this year, the 400 euros of the Voucher can be used both to consume cultural products and to purchase musical instruments, materials for artistic creation or cultural courses.

.- The delegate of the Government in Asturias, Adriana Lastra, together with Personnel of the Delegation of the Government in Asturias and members of the Security Forces and Corps, observed this morning a minute of silence condemning the murder by gender violence of three women this week. They are Aicha, murdered in Sevilla La Nueva (Madrid), on 17; María in Antequera (Málaga), on 21 and Rossana Katerine, in Alameda de la Sagra (Toledo), yesterday. The concentrates expressed their revulsion at these new crimes and reiterated their heartfelt condolences to their families and friends. With these new murders there are 31 women killed at the hands of their partner or ex-partner and three minors killed this year. Since 2003, 1,372 women have already been killed for gender-based violence. Since 2013, 68 children have been killed for gender-based violence against their mothers and 530 children have been orphaned by gender-based violence in Spain. The Government Delegation in Asturias together with the Ministry of Equality and the other Delegations and Sub-Delegations of the Government of Spain and the Island Directorates of the General Administration of the State express their strongest condemnation of the murders for gender violence and affirm in an institutional declaration that they will “persevere” to continue moving from “unity and firmness” towards a society “fairer, more egalitarian and free of male violence”. The statement was read by Juan José Fernández, Secretary General of the Government Delegation in Asturias. It stresses that as a democratic society, “no violence against women can be tolerated because they are women.” Male violence is a structural violence, based on sexist discrimination, inequality and imbalance in power relations between women and men, as the text read in the Plaza de España points out. Likewise, it is recalled that the telephone 016, the online consultations through the mail 016-online@igualdad.gob.es, the WhatsApp channel in the number 600 000 016 and the chat accessible from the web page violenciagenero.igualdad.gob.es works 24 hours a day, every day of the year. In an emergency situation you can also call 112 or the telephone numbers of the National Police (092) and the Civil Guard (062). At 016 you can ask for advice on the resources available and the rights of victims of all forms of violence against women, as well as legal advice from 8h to 22h every day of the week, with attention in 53 languages and a service adapted to possible situations of disability.

MITECO awards almost 94 million euros to two reversible pumping projects in Asturias

61 Asturian farmers and ranchers will receive 191,000 euros from the National Reserve of Basic Income Aid of the CAP

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food allocates 10.4 million euros from the national reserve of basic aid to the income of the CAP.

In total, 2,094 farmers and ranchers have received basic income support rights, of which 81% are young people.
