Public information is a procedure whereby the body competent to resolve the procedure allows the interested parties and any person to examine the file and make the allegations that they consider appropriate.
As this is a procedure open to any person, whether interested or not, it is necessary to publish the announcement in the corresponding Official Gazette (State, Autonomous Community or Province), and in the bulletin boards of the municipalities affected giving the opportunity to examine the file, being necessary to point out the place of exhibition and the deadline for making claims. These files will be published on this website in order to facilitate their examination.
Its use is contemplated in the articles The art. 83.1 and 83.2 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. In this sense, whether or not the public information procedure is mandatory will be determined by the nature of the procedure.
