The Government approves the agreement authorizing the execution of the construction works of the new building of Juzgados in Manacor, Mallorca

The urgency and the exceptional public interest of the works derive from the need to concentrate in a single building the courts that are now located in a building and two rented premises, in addition to correcting the deficiencies that they have in relation to the required technical regulations.

The Council of Ministers approved in its meeting today the agreement authorizing the execution of the construction works of the new building of Juzgados in Manacor, calle Pilar s/n (Mallorca, Illes Balears).

The urgency and exceptional public interest of the works, declared by Order of 29 August 2023 by the Minister of Justice, derive from the need to concentrate in a single building the courts that are now located in a building and two rented premises, as well as to remedy the deficiencies that these have in relation to the technical regulations required. For these reasons, the need to build a new court building that provides a solution to these problems identified and has capacity for all existing judicial bodies is justified, giving a margin for its growth.

In view of the urgency and exceptional public interest of the works, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda (MIVAU) raises the proposal to the Council of Ministers to agree on the execution of the works and to order the initiation of the procedure of modification of the urban planning in force in the municipality of Manacor, in its concrete application to the surface affected by the implementation of the works to be carried out.
