The Subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, visited today the facilities of the Lalinense Dairy, Anzuxao Dairy, located in the parish of Madrilenian, to recognize and value the work and the good work of a company that received the Food of Spain award from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food 2023 in the modality to the best matured cow cheese for its cheese D.Lo.P Tetilla.
The subdelegate stressed the commitment to sustainability, competitiveness and the highest quality of the product represented by Dairy Anzuxao, which is why the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food awarded it a “very deserved” recognition. Losada congratulated the company for this award and in particular its manager, Javier Sampayo, to whom he transferred the recognition for the company’s trajectory.
“Pazo de Anzuxao is a clear example of the magnificent level of the Galician food industry and the province of Pontevedra, which is a benchmark in quality, but also in commitment to the territory, to the rural, to food security, to research and to respect for the environment,” he stressed.
Abel Losada toured the factory and learned about the production model, remembering that the queixería was created by a rural entrepreneur woman in the 70s. Thus, he valued a trajectory that maintains the tradition and was able to adapt to the new needs of the buyer and to the new consumption models without forgetting their origins and always betting on raw materials @de proximidade and high quality.
The subdelegate said that the dezá firm “is on the top” of the cheeses nationwide and that this is recognized again by the Government of Spain, since Pazo de Anzuxao repeats the Food of Spain award after receiving it in 2019 for the first time.
