The Senior Police Headquarters of Ceuta has standardized the processing of documents in its offices. Although it is true that for a few months, after the opening of the border and due to the massive influx of citizens, waiting times for passports were increased fundamentally, to date this situation is already normalized.
To overcome the significant growth in applications, staff reinforcements were programmed in the Headquarters units that have managed to regularize and manage the situation that was generated as a result of the exponential increase in demand.
Currently, the daily average number of documents processed is 130, of which 60 are passports and 70 are ID cards.
During the month of January of this year, 1,320 DNI and 2210 passports have been processed, a very significant increase compared to the data of the month of January of the year 2022 (976 DNI and 409 passports).
The number of daily appointments to obtain these documents amounts to 70, although in some cases not all applications are processed due to the absence of the person mentioned.
The hours of attention to the citizen to process this documentation are from Monday to Friday from 09.00 hours to 18.00 hours.
For a few months now, it has been possible to pay the amount of the processing of these documents by credit card.
