- Bond refunds will start from January 9 automatically for credit card purchases and from January 15 for the person who made the cash payment, going to the points of sale to the stations
- From last Thursday and throughout the term, customers can get their subscriptions for the first quarter of 2023

Renfe has issued 757,639 free Short Distance, Medium Distance and 50% Avant subscriptions for journeys between 1 September and 31 December last year.
Of the total number of free multi-travel certificates issued, more than 620,000 correspond to subscriptions for travel in the vicinity, while about 118,000 are for medium-distance journeys.
In addition to free subscriptions for repeat customers, Renfe has sold nearly 20,000 titles with 50% discounts from Avant to use high-speed mid-distance services.

Travelers who have used the free Short Distance or Medium Distance pass in 2022 and have met the conditions of use will be automatically refunded from January 9 for those who have made the payment by credit card. All of them will be refunded the amount in the same account running where they have linked the card with which the purchase was made. In case the tickets have been purchased in cash, passengers can go from January 15 to the stations’ outlets.
To facilitate communication with customers, Renfe has set up a specific telephone line, 91 919 15 67, to report on this procedure.
New free subscriptions for 2023
Since last Thursday, December 29th and throughout the period of validity, Renfe users are acquiring the free subscriptions of Cerca and Media distancia to travel until April 30th. So far, 230,000 citizens have already acquired it throughout the Spanish state.
For the rest of Avant’s rail services, the 50% discount is extended.
