Arenas of San Pedro
February 29, 2024.- The Public Service of State Employment (SEPE) of Ávila has joined for the first time the program 'The Administration near you' after the agreement reached between the ministries of Territorial Policy and Labor with the objective of spreading the employment instruments offered by the General Administration of the State in the territory.
A program that has been launched for the first time at the CIPF Las Ferrería de Arenas de San Pedro, where SEPE officials have offered a training day to more than thirty students to present job search services, in this case, aimed at children under 30 years of age.
“For us, the young group, under 30 years old, is a priority in the search for employment and that is why we wanted to focus on them this first day in which the SEPE joins the program of the Administration near you to bring the services of the General Administration of the State to the rural environment,” said Isabel Pellón, provincial director of the SEPE of Ávila.
During the day, information was provided on the employment portal ‘Empléate’, which allows access to active job offers according to the profile of the unemployed person, and on the project of ‘Youth Guarantee’, a European initiative that aims to facilitate access to the job market for young people aged 16 and under 30 through a job exchange that aims for the registered person to find work in less than four months.
To this end, the Government makes available to companies a support line for hiring unemployed young people. An amount that has increased by 3,000 euros this year, to reach 9,000, “consolidating itself as a necessary tool in access to the first job among the youngest,” according to Pellón.
A program that is included in the Youth Advances Strategic Plan, which includes various actions aimed at promoting youth employment and which at the national level has an investment of 4.95 billion, “the largest investment by a government for youth employment actions,” said Pellón.
Information was also provided on the ‘Tandem’ programme, which offers work-linked training to young people between the ages of 16 and 29, and on the ‘First Experience’ programme, which allows them to have a first work experience in the Public Administrations.
A plan that, in its first year, has allowed the hiring in Ávila of 17 people for a year in different public agencies of the province, such as the Subdelegation of the Government, Paradores de Turismo, the Subdelegation of Defense and the Computer Management of Social Security.
“These are all tools aimed at increasing the employability of young people under the age of 30,” said Pellón, who recalls that in addition, all information on the EURES programme, a job portal for job mobility in Europe, can be accessed through the SEPE offices.
Another of the initiatives carried out by SEPE in Ávila are the courses aimed at women who have participated in works of the Agrarian Employment Plan, from which a total of 222 women have benefited in different localities of the region of Arévalo and Arenas de San Pedro (Madrigal de las Altas Torres, San Vicente de Arévalo, Horcajo, Navas de Arévalo, Langa, Barromán and Candeleda).
A day in which the staff of the Subdelegation of the Government in Ávila in charge of carrying out the program ‘The Administration near you’ also participated, to offer young people the necessary resources to take advantage of e-government.
In this way, they were facilitated access to the public services charter while being informed of the advantages of the Citizens’ File or the ways to obtain the means of identification and digital signature, facilitating digital processing and avoiding travel.
