From this Tuesday 17, Renfe offers more than 28,800 weekly seats to travel on the High-Speed-Long Distance trains that circulate between Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha and Catalonia, which means an increase of 7,000 more seats a week in the relations that connect Malaga, Cordoba and Seville with Barcelona, and that have a stop in Ciudad Real, according to Renfe in a press release.
All tickets between Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha and Catalonia are on sale on the usual channels one year in advance, until October 2024. This makes it easier for the customer to plan their trips more in advance with the possibility of obtaining cheaper prices.
The Renfe trains between Andalusia and Catalonia were used during the past year by more than 1.5 million travelers.
Two new daily AVE Malaga-Barcelona trains
From October 17, Renfe extends the offer between Malaga and Barcelona with two new daily AVE trains, one departing from Malaga at 8.30h, with stop in Ciudad Real at 10.36h; and another from the city of Condal at 15.15h, with stop in Ciudad Real at 19:17h.
With these new services, the offer to travel between both capitals will amount to four AVE trains per day, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. The four have a stop in Ciudad Real and two of them also in Puertollano.
These four daily AVE trains Malaga-Barcelona will be provided with S103 material from Tuesday, October 17, with greater capacity of seats per train than the current S102, increasing by one thousand the daily seats and raising the weekly offer between Malaga and Barcelona to 12,000 seats.
In the relationship between Sevilla and Cordoba and Barcelona, Renfe also puts into service an offer of 4 AVE trains per day, 2 per direction, which since this summer are also provided with S103 material. With these trains, Renfe offers more than 1,700 daily seats to travel between both capitals or intermediate stops of the route. They all have a stop in Ciudad Real and two of them, also in Puertollano
Time adjustments
From October 17 there will also be an adaptation of the schedules on the trains between Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha and Catalonia that is carried out after the works of waterproofing boards in nine viaducts in the province of Córdoba, within the framework of its plan of integral rehabilitation of the high-speed line carried out by ADIF.
