The new unified organization of the border goods inspection service, defined in Ministerial Order 756/2024 of 22 July and agreed between all the competent ministries, has been operational since 1 October at the Border Control Post of Algeciras.
The Secretaries-General of Territorial Coordination, Miryam Álvarez, and of Agrarian Resources and Food Security, Ana Rodríguez, visited the Port of Algeciras to verify the effectiveness of the new model, which improves the service provided to economic operators and, ultimately, improves the competitiveness of our ports. All this will allow companies to live up to a growing demand in more favourable conditions in the international context.
