The Minister of Territorial Policy, Isabel Rodríguez, presided over the act of taking office of the new delegate of the Government in Catalonia, Maria Eugenia Gay, where she pointed out that we now have to take advantage of the opportunities presented to us: “Politics at the service of solving problems and contributing to a better collective project, with contrast of positions, always, but on the basis of reaching agreements and acting from institutional loyalty and with the disposition of close positions.”
The minister stressed that “Spain is called to an economic and social transformation never seen in forty years and Catalonia will be fundamental”.
Isabel Rodríguez has valued “politics and public dedication, which strengthen democracy and institutions, congratulated María Eugenia Gay for her appointment, “respected and recognized lawyer”, and thanked Teresa Cunillera, who leaves the position she has held since 2018 “for her contribution to restoring institutional normality and improving relations and collaboration between the different police forces of Catalonia”.
