The Minister of Territorial Policy, Isabel Rodríguez, has highlighted the commitment of the Government of Spain with local entities, “so that the municipalities are a fundamental lever in the development of our country and in the economic recovery.”
The minister, during her visit today to the City of Mérida, highlighted the expectations generated today by the municipality in the economic recovery and stressed the commitment of the Government of Spain with the local entities: “For the first time, there will be 22 billion injections to municipalities, so that they can take charge of all services with special coverage for Covid-19 and also betting on economic recovery.”
The minister wanted to share a day of work with the mayor of Mérida, Antonio Rodríguez Osuna, and the members of her corporation during her visit to the City Council of the capital of Extremadura, to review the municipal action plans, through the European recovery funds managed by the Government of Spain, “because they are our hope for a future full of new business and economic opportunities, putting in value, in the case of Mérida, its cultural and historical heritage.”
