The Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Function has launched today through its social media profiles a new video of the dissemination campaign launched with the main objective of attracting young talent for public employment in the General State Administration (AGE).
Convert statistical data to information
The experience today is the Carla De la Herrán account, mathematics of formation and statistics of the State, destined in the National Institute of State (INE), who explains his work that fundamentally consists of transforming all the data he receives into useful and practical information for citizens and for the economic and labor world.
This campaign, in which employees and public employees explain their experiences, is part of the Talent Acquisition Plan initiated in 2019 where the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Service It informs young people about the possibilities and opportunities offered today by public employment for career development.
Attracting young people to public employment
The objective is to explain to young people the job opportunities offered by the AGE in many different sectors, in addition to valuing public employment and transmitting the pride they can feel as public servants, contributing their knowledge and professionalism to the service of citizens.
The campaign, launched on April 20, will continue in the coming weeks with the testimonies of different public employees who will show through their experience the possibilities offered by public employment, both in Spain and in official representations abroad.
The goal is to rejuvenate the staff of the AGE, with an average age currently of 52 years, after several years with zero replacement rates in the last decade. In addition, only 12% of staff are under the age of 40 and, at the current rate, in 10 years, half of the staff will have retired.
With the aim of rejuvenating staff, the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Service organizes information days in universities, professional colleges and other educational centers, to offer a modern image of the AGE, also as an employer, and highlighting the public that, in times of pandemic, has demonstrated its importance to face difficult situations and continue to offer the best public services to citizens.
On April 15, the Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Service, Miquel Iceta, presided over the day that was held at the Carlos III University of Madrid, which for the first time was broadcast on the Ministry’s new Twitch channel, a new way to bring messages closer to young people.
