- Of a total of 178,128 employees and public employees in the AGE, 127,691 (71.68%) work face-to-face and 46,760 (26.25%) in non-face-to-face mode. Those not reincorporated by isolation are 1,459 (0.82%). The rest of the staff are in another situation, such as permits or holidays.

The General State Administration (AGE), with 178,128 personnel, currently has 127,691 (71.68%) working in the ordinary face-to-face modality and 46,760 (26.25%) in the non-face-to-face modality. In isolation, because of contagion or because of having been in contact with infected people, there are 1,459 employees and public employees (0.82%).
It is the situation today of the AGE, where non-face-to-face work continues to be regulated through the resolution of the Secretary of State for Territorial Policy and Public Service of new normality, at the end of the first state of alarm, agreed with the unions CSIF, UGT and CIG on June 17, 2020.
Last Monday, April 12, the Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Service, Miquel Iceta, signed an agreement with the unions CSIF, UGT, CCOO and CIG with the general criteria, which will be reflected in September in a Royal Decree for the regulation and implementation of teleworking in the AGE.
Evolution of teleworking
In April 2020, the first full month in the first state of alarm, the staff who teleworked in the AGE (108,691) exceeded the staff in face-to-face mode (47,816). At the end of the first state of alarm, the situation changed and the modality of face-to-face work was imposed from June 2020.
Approximately one in four employees and public employees telecommute from last summer’s months to the present, and three out of every staff work in face-to-face mode.
Insulation situation
Staff in house isolation due to a diagnosis by the virus or being in quarantine for having had contact with someone affected, amounted to 1,459 (0.82%). The isolated personnel, a year ago, reached the figure of 6,203 personnel.
Videoconferencing in the AGE
Meetings and courses by videoconference is a practice that has worked well during the pandemic and is a positive experience for the future. In 2021 alone, 109,748 meetings have been held by this system. In addition, 3,967 courses were developed in the first quarter, of which 3,542 (87%) were carried out electronically.
Likewise, the AGE information phone 060, which serves public services and procedures, has answered a total of 3,757,401 calls until April 8, 2021. In 2020, calls to 060 reached the figure of 12,794,269.
