The Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Service, Miquel Iceta, has met with the President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, with whom he has agreed to begin work to constitute the bilateral commission that will strengthen coordination between the State and the Canary Islands.
It is the first meeting held by the minister with a president of an autonomous community. From now on, the ministry and the autonomous community will begin to work to define its implementation and establish the future operation of the commission - in which the issues corresponding to the Canary Islands will be addressed - and will allow the coordination between the State and the Autonomous Community to be strengthened.
The meeting was also attended by the Ministry, the Secretary of State for Territorial Policy and Public Service, Víctor Francos, and the Secretary General for Territorial Coordination, Myriam Álvarez.
