Affects essential MUFACE groups
Madrid, March 16, 2021.- The Interterritorial Council of the National Health System (CISNS) yesterday adopted the decision to suspend the administration of the coronavirus vaccine developed by AstraZeneca for two weeks from today, Tuesday, March 16.
The measure affects essential groups of the General Mutuality of Civil Servants of the State (MUFACE), such as primary and secondary school teachers, police and prison officials.
MUFACE recalls that in the integral vaccination campaign that is being carried out in Spain, the function of the Mutuality is limited to collaborating with public health authorities, providing the data of the collective. Planning and appointments for vaccination are made by each autonomous community in accordance with the General Vaccination Strategy.
The autonomous communities, depending on the temporary suspension of the AstraZeneca vaccine, are the ones that will determine the planning that is best suited to attend to the administration of the same when possible.
The decision taken by the CISNS, a measure similar to that adopted by other EU countries, can be consulted in the information available from the Ministry of Health.
