When asked how the government intends to comply with its commitment to repeal the Law on the Rationalization and Sustainability of Local Administration, the Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Service, Carolina Darias, has reaffirmed the "priority objective" of the government to approve a new regulation "that allows municipalities to recover the lost local autonomy".
He has also valued the work already done by the government and the FEMP to modify the LRSAL and has called for the consensus of all parliamentary groups to address a "new regulation".
