The Minister of Territorial Policy and Public Service, Carolina Darias, and the Minister of Public Governance and Self-Government and spokesperson of the Basque Government, Josu Erkoreka, held a first meeting at the headquarters of the ministry to begin the process of dialogue in relation to the transfers that remained pending in the previous legislature.
Both governments have agreed to convene the Joint Commission of State-Basque Country Transfers in March to transfer the competences in the field of legislation on pharmaceutical products, school insurance and aid prior to the ordinary retirement of workers affected by EREs.
The minister informed after the meeting that on February 20, a new meeting is planned in Bilbao, with the aim of defining a timetable with the remaining issues pending transfer to the Basque Government, after having analyzed them with the competent ministries.
