Five million euros have been transferred to the Government of the Canary Islands so that the regional administration and local entities, in their respective areas of competence, make available to citizens information services and housing management, home help, social, psychological, educational and social inclusion support, as well as benefits and direct aid to the families affected.

This amount has also been increased by the transfer to local entities of an additional 1.5 and 1.2 million euros by the Canarian administration and the Cabildo, respectively.

As a measure of support for the inhabitants of the island at risk of social exclusion, the Government of the Canary Islands has also approved the granting of an extraordinary social benefit in favour of the holders of the Canary Islands Insertion Benefit (PCI) residing in the affected municipalities.

• The Ministry of Equality has transferred a grant to the Government of the Canary Islands in the amount of 0.5 million euros in order to provide more specialized housing resources for women, with or without children, as well as to strengthen the network of professionals specialized in gender violence.
• The Canary Institute of Equality has contracted a technical assistance service of social work to strengthen the team of attention to victims of gender violence and a specific training service on gender violence provided to 33 professionals, mostly in the field of social work and psychology, who have worked directly with the families affected.

• The Government of the Canary Islands has created the Economic Coordination and Assistance Office for those affected by the volcano on the island of La Palma, with additional responsibilities in terms of planning, monitoring and management.
• The Autonomous Government has launched the single register of people affected by the volcanic eruptions of La Palma, which channels all applications for aid. It has resolved 6,868 cases, which constitute 96.64% of the total number of applications submitted.
• The General State Administration has deployed means and effectiveness to provide information on real estate ownership issues.
• Three notarial places have been created whose coverage has been possible thanks to the rotation of volunteer notaries, and the Citizen Care Service has been created.
