The plan “The Administration near you”, promoted by the Government of Spain, has already held 170 sessions in the Foral Community since November 2022. In a first phase, staff of the Government Delegation in Navarre visited the municipalities of between 500 and 8,000 inhabitants and, subsequently, it was opened to those of less than 500.
The Secretary of State for Territorial Policy, Arcadi Spain, visited today the session held in Sangüesa/Zangoza, which had been requested by the Red Cross. He has been accompanied by the Secretary General of Territorial Coordination, Miryam Álvarez; the Director General of the General Administration of the State in the Territory, Agustín Torres; and the delegate of the Government in Navarra, Alicia Echeverría.
“The Government of Spain is working intensively to humanize, bring closer and improve the services of the Administration to the citizens,” said Arcadi España, who also thanked the workers who gave the sessions of the program “The Administration near you” and the Navarre Red Cross for their collaboration.
The aim of this plan is to prevent people living in small municipalities from having to travel to carry out certain procedures. It is a question of bringing the General Administration of the State closer to the citizens in order to strengthen social and territorial cohesion, combat the digital divide and strengthen equal opportunities.
To do this, staff of the Government Delegation travel weekly to Navarre municipalities and, in each session, facilitate access to the list of available public services, report on the advantages of the Citizen Folder, or process the means of identification and digital signature (Cl@ve and digital certificate) that allow access to public services without the need for travel. Consultations are also held on the main services provided by the Government Delegation in Navarre.
The sessions held so far in the Foral Community have been attended by more than 1,500 people. The most demanded information has revolved around digital identification and signature systems, access to the citizens’ file or the operation of the different electronic headquarters of the Government of Spain.
