The Provincial Director of the Ministry of Education and Professional Training (MEyFP) in Melilla, Juan Ángel Berbel, has reported that between 9 and 10 of this month the “Melillaskills” competition is held at the CIFP “Reina Victoria Eugenia”, where 11 profiles of different Professional Families from the educational centers of the city participate.
In this competition, the students who will participate in the state edition next April will be selected. The Spainskills are held biennially and in it participate students who are undergoing a cycle of different Professional Families, from all the autonomous communities and cities.
“The MEyFP organizes and promotes this initiative as an informative tool of the training offer as well as to stimulate students, teachers and companies,” said Berbel.
In our city, the profiles of Electrical Installations, Florist, Hairdressing, Aesthetics, Automotive Technology, Kitchen, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, TIC Network Systems Administration, Social Health Care, Window Dressing and Visual Marketing and Bakery, and the cycle of Video Disc-Jockey and Sound, will compete as an exhibition.
For two days, students must pass a series of tests defined by the Skills tutors, in order to demonstrate the level of development of technical professional skills that they acquire in their educational center.
The winners will represent our city in the Spainskills 2024, where they will compete with the selected students of each of the Autonomous Communities, “platform of exchange of experiences and forum of debate of the evolution of professional standards, quality and innovation in the different productive sectors”, as cited on its website.
This initiative is co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), in the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027, within the distribution of credits of the General Committee of Education of 21 July 2022, which includes the organization and participation in regional, national, European and world Professional Training championships.
The Provincial Directorate of the MEyFP promotes and supports the celebration of the Melillaskills championship, and values the commitment it represents for the educational center, as well as for the teachers involved and participating students.
