- Traffic will be cut between the km 0,600 and 1,600 of the M-21 to conclude the works of improvement of the current incorporation from the M-14 direction south to the axis M-21 direction Coslada.
- The traffic will be redirected through the Arcentales roundabout in order to continue the itineraries that are cut.
- It will be impossible to move M-14 south to M-14 airport which, in reality.
- The works for the conditioning of the branch M-14 sense South to M-21 sense Coslada have a budget of 10.22 million euros
The Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility continues to carry out works to improve road connections in the surroundings of the Metropolitan Stadium in Madrid, with various actions on the M-40/M-14/M-21 link. In particular, new connecting branches between the M-14 and the M-21 are being implemented, as well as a new internal service track on the M-40, also eliminating the existing braid.
Due to this, on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at night, the necessary works will be carried out for the opening to traffic of the new incorporation from the M-14 direction south to the axis M-21 direction Coslada.
Therefore, and to ensure the safety of workers and users, the following effects on traffic will occur:
-Total cut signposted and marked between the km 0,600 to 1,600 of the M-21 motorway, at the following times:
- From 21:30 hours on Wednesday, June 25 until 6:00 on Thursday, June 26.
- From 21:30 hours on Thursday, June 26 until 6:00 on Friday, June 27.
The incorporation from the M-14 sense south to the axis M-21 sense Coslada was done, even before the works, by a braid of short length after the incorporation in wedge from the loop of the branch.
With the completion of this action 2 of the works, a new arrangement is adopted with which, from now on, once the incorporation link is completed, the traffic coming from the M-14 with a southern sense continues through its own lane through the new branch and is incorporated to the M-21 sense Coslada once the passage over the street of Campezo (road M-214) is passed.
Action 2 also includes the expansion of the platform on the south side of the M-21 in the areas before and after the Campezo pass. With this, the width required to also incorporate the movement M-40 outer ring to M-21 sense Coslada into the new branch is achieved. In this way, both traffics are already one in the final attack to the M-21 sense Coslada (about 400 m later) achieving that all the movements are carried out with the necessary safety distances.
In addition, it can be said at the traffic level that, after these modifications, the movement M-14 south to M-14 airport will be impossible, which, in reality, is an indirect change of direction of little use that, until now, was possible on this route.
The traffic will be redirected through the urban road, specifically through the Arcentales roundabout, in order to continue the itineraries that are cut off.
During the affectations, the milling work, spreading of agglomerate, painting of road marks on affected lanes and placement of barrier and defenses in its final disposition will be carried out.
Users are asked to exercise caution when putting these new vials into service and to pay the utmost attention to the signs that indicate them.
