The Guard in La Rioja deploys the system of prior appointment in the Mobile Post of Attention to Citizenship.

• In operation since October 2021, this new pre-appointment system reaches 379 Civil Guard units in 43 provinces, including 9 in La Rioja • This initiative is part of the “Plan to Boost the Operational Response to the Demographic Challenge” to improve the potential for operational service in the demarcations of the Corps with low population density • The Mobile Post for Attention to Citizenship will provide face-to-face service to 3,287 people from 64 municipalities in La Rioja with less than 100 inhabitants

The pre-appointment system has been deployed since its implementation in a total of 379 units of the Civil Guard.

In October 2021, the pilot experience of the “Prior Appointment” service was implemented to file a criminal or administrative complaint or carry out any non-urgent procedure in 6 Posts of the Madrid, Alicante and Almería Command.

Given the complexity of the widespread extension of this service to the entire Civil Guard, the pilot experience was implemented in successive extensions, first to the main posts of these commanders and some regular posts, and later in July 2022, to 261 posts in 43 provinces.

In view of the good results obtained throughout this period of time, the Civil Guard extended this service on March 27, 2023 to currently reach 378 posts in these same 43 provinces, and among them, all those of Cantabria, Segovia, Madrid and Las Palmas, in addition, from 7 more to the post deployed in La Rioja.

Since June 1, this pre-appointment service has been implemented in the Mobile Post of Attention to the Citizenship of La Rioja, for the attention in mobility to the 3,287 people of 64 municipalities with less than 100 inhabitants of this Autonomous Community:

This Mobile Post of Attention to Citizenship is part of the Order of Services 7/2023 “Plan to Boost the Operational Response to the Demographic Challenge”, launched by the Civil Guard since 17/03/2023, in order to optimize the operational service potential of territorial units, and in a singular way, those deployed in demarcations with low population density.

This improvement in the operational response is one of the measures included in the Action Plan “Security against the demographic challenge”, launched by the Civil Guard in November 2021.

With this Mobile Post initiative, the Civil Guard intends to give closer and more versatile attention to the citizens, offering an additional channel to the currently existing services of citizen care of the posts of the Corps, and an operable alternative, especially for those people who present difficulty of access to them.

The 10th of the Civil Guard in La rioja has the following Posts by appointment: Calsalvo, Haro, Santo Domingo, Nájera, Villamediana, Arnedo and Alfaro. Since its implementation more than 2,000 have used this system.
