Renfe has designed an alternative transport plan between 22 and 25 April to guarantee the provision of the service during the demolition works of the upper pass on the railway network of Vara de Rey in Logroño, which force to cut off the railway circulation. During the days mentioned, the tour between Logroño and Bilbao will be carried out by bus, providing the service in the usual stations of the line.
These works force the closure of railway traffic between the night of 21 April and midnight of 25 April. The closure will affect a train service by direction on April 22, 23, 24 and 25, which connects Logroño with Bilbao and Barcelona. Renfe will guarantee the transfer of passengers by bus on the Logroño - Bilbao section, with a stop at the Haro and Miranda de Ebro stations, while the route between Logroño and Barcelona will be carried out by train normally.
Specifically, during the aforementioned days, the Barcelona-Logroño–Bilbao train (8:45-15:36) and the Bilbao–Logroño–Barcelona train (15:20-22:20) will be affected. In the stations affected by the bus transfer the schedules will be slightly modified:
Departure times in Barcelona during the works:
• Bilbao 15:00h
• Miranda de Ebro 16:15h
• Haro 16:35h
• Logroño 17:53h
Departure times in the direction of Bilbao during the works:
• Barcelona 08:45h
• Logroño 13:07h
• Haro 13:47h
• Miranda de Ebro 14:22h
The rest of the services provided by Renfe, both Long and Medium Distance, will not be altered.
Travelers affected by this plan may, if they wish, change or cancel tickets at no associated cost. In case of opting for the change of ticket, if the price of the new one is higher than the initial purchase, travelers can, once the trip is finished and presenting the ticket used, claim the difference.
