The Council of Cee has a Documentation Update Point (PAD) of the National Police, recently installed in the House of Culture. The deputy delegate of the Government, María Rivas, stressed the importance of bringing this type of public services closer to the municipalities, “because it facilitates the procedures not only of Cee but of all the municipalities in the area and avoids unnecessary trips to the city of A Coruña to make arrangements with the DNI”.
María Rivas paid a visit with the Acaldesa, Margarita Lamela, to the PAD, where she was able to check its use by several people who came to carry out procedures. Rivas stated that “the installation of this PAD is a clear example of how the Administration can and should adapt to the needs of citizens, offering useful, close and effective services.”
This new device allows you to renew the certificates and electronic keys of the DNI. In addition, it facilitates the activation of the MiDNI application, with which anyone can carry on the mobile an official digital version of their DNI, with a simple validation process at the point of update itself.
In addition, PADs are accessible to people with disabilities. Its objective is to provide citizens of urban centers that do not have a Documentation Unit with access to public administration, improving the quality of services and reducing territorial inequalities. “A digital, modern and accessible administration is a more expensive step,” said the deputy delegate, who also added that “services like this improve the quality of life and eliminate territorial barriers.
That is our goal, for anyone, wherever they live, to have access to the same quality in public services.” With the DNI on the mobile can be done, among other things: • Crediting the identity in person (as long as there is a data connection)
• Exercise the right to vote
• Establish any type of legal relationship
• Sign deeds before a notary
• Certify the identity in face-to-face proceedings before the administration
• Carry out face-to-face administrative procedures in universities and teaching centers (both public and private) • Certify the age of majority
• Open a bank account
• Formalize insurance of any kind
• Check in at a hotel
• Renting a vehicle
• Buy tickets or nominative tickets that require identification of the interested holder
• Face-to-face commercial transactions in which a valid ID is required or to prove the identity of the interested party • Perform a control of access to buildings
• Access the different entertainment venues (cinemas, theatres, concerts etc.) • Collection of parcels (Couriers, couriers, …)
• Withdrawal of medicines in pharmacies...
The National Police is responsible for implementing these terminals in the different localities of the province and in different Galician strategic points. “The PADs, together with the Integral Vehicles of Documentation (VIDOC) facilitate the digital procedures to the neighbors of the rural, bringing them closer to the functions of the Administration,” added the subdelegate.
The province of A Coruña has 8 PADs in operation: Cee, Melide, Noia, As Pontes, Rianxo, Ordes and Sada, providing these municipalities with the relevant teams, adding 27 throughout the Galician community. The project financed through the Recovery Plan is part of the digitization strategy of the Public Administration, within the framework of the agreement signed between the Ministry of the Interior and the National Currency and Stamp Factory.
“Both the VIDOCs and the PADs make clear the Government’s commitment to basic public services in Galicia, transforming and modernizing the relationship between the neighborhood and the Administration,” stressed the subdelegate. The subdelegate recalled that the National Police assigned to the province three of the six Integral Vehicles of Documentation (VIDOCS) assigned to Galicia.
These mobile units travel through 27 municipalities in Cordoba that do not have a police station, in addition to the Teixeiro Penitentiary Center, to provide exclusive documentation services, such as the renewal and issuance of ID cards and passports in a matter of minutes.
Other performances
The installation of these services outside the police stations is complemented by other actions carried out by the Government in the province, such as the program ‘A Administración Cerca de Ti’, in which officials of the Delegation and the Subdelegation help the population to obtain the digital certificate and give an account of all the services they can access, taking advantage of these days to accompany them in these processes.
In this same vein, the subdelegate also highlighted other measures such as advice for the Income campaign in municipalities, or the travelling suitcase against gender violence, “all these services are designed to improve the lives of the inhabitants of the province, who will also be able to access them from anywhere thanks to the Government’s plans for broadband extension and connectivity to 5G networks,” she said.
