The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, visited in the port of A Coruña the amphibious assault ship San Giorgio, of the Italian Navy. He was received by the commander of the ship, Alberto Fiorentino, and was accompanied by the delegate of Defense, Jesús Ángel Paz; the chief general of the Civil Guard in Galicia, Miguel Ángel González Arias, or the president of the Port Authority of A Coruña, Martín Fernández Prado.
Pedro Blanco highlighted the total harmony and collaboration between the Spanish and Italian Armed Forces, highlighting the international entity and presence of Spain. He thanked the Italian representatives for their courtesy and for their agreement, and reminded them that they have "a second house" in Galicia and Spain.
