The subdelegate of the Government in Lugo, Isabel Rodríguez, received this morning in the Subdelegation a group of 15 elderly users of the social centers of the City of Lugo, within the framework of the Week of Open Administration. She was accompanied during the visit by the Councilor for Social Welfare and Elderly People, Olga López Racamonde, and staff of the Subdelegation, who guided the tour through the different units.
During the day, the group was able to know closely the functioning of the General Administration of the State in the province, as well as the main services it offers to the citizens. The staff of the Subdelegation brought them practical information on how to carry out procedures through the electronic office, request the permanent key or access the citizens’ file.
The subdelegate stressed that “it is essential to continue facilitating access to e-government for the elderly, eliminating barriers and reducing the digital divide.” Isabel Rodríguez highlighted the importance of bringing the Administration closer to the most vulnerable groups and promoting their active participation in the use of digital public services.
At the end of the visit, both the participants and the Subdelegation team valued this activity very positively, which combines institutional transparency, personalized attention and useful training for a better relationship with the Administration.
