The subdelegate of the Government in A Coruña, María Rivas, closed the IV International Congress of Applied Criminalistics, which was held in the Pazo de Mariñán, in Bergondo, and was oriented to security in rural areas. The deputy delegate highlighted the work of the security forces in the small municipalities, where the role of bodies such as the Civil Guard is key to structuring the rural and maintaining the well-being of neighbors and neighbors.
María Rivas highlighted the actions of the Government to provide public services to small municipalities, especially those that it is developing in collaboration with the security forces, such as the initiatives 'No caminas sola', of protection against male violence on the Camino de Santiago, or the one carried out by the Police through the VIDOCs, vehicles that allow renewal of identity documents such as ID or passport anywhere they are installed.
In addition, the subdelegate stressed the importance of the forum for the province, "making it, in some way, the laboratory of security ideas worldwide."
