The Government Delegation in Galicia today hosts a training day on the functionalities of the VIOGEN 2 system of the Ministry of the Interior for the monitoring of cases of women victims of gender violence. Throughout Galicia, a total of 134 personnel of the National Police Force, Civil Guard and Local Police of Galicia (52 of them in the province of A Coruña) are receiving this specific training by technicians and techniques of the Secretary of State for Security. It should be noted that Galicia is the first community in which this specific training is being taught.
The Government Delegation, through the Coordination Unit on Violence against Women, and in collaboration with the Offices against Violence against Women of the four Government sub-delegations, organized this training, which is conducted in videoconference format in the four provinces simultaneously. Throughout the morning they address the practical aspects of the new functionalities and how to make use of all the innovations offered by the VIOGEN 2 to provide better protection for these women. All the attendees, our respective bodies and municipalities, are responsible for the follow-up of the cases that are registered in this police system.
