The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, highlighted today the close collaboration of the Government of Spain and the City of Rianxo to improve municipal public services, where it has invested about 2 million euros. Pedro Blanco held a working meeting this morning with the mayor of Rianxo, Julián Bustelo, who was accompanied by the councilor for Works, José Alberto Angueira.
Pedro Blanco highlighted the “municipalist commitment” of the Government of Spain that is exemplified in the projects carried out in Rianxo to advance in terms of ecological and digital transition, as well as in the tourist promotion of the town.
Thus, they analyzed the impact that the Recovery Plan is having on the concello and that allowed to modernize and renew the library of the Pazo de Martelo, bring the extension of broadband to the whole municipality or carry out tourism promotion campaigns.
In this regard, the delegate stressed the importance of the funds of the Recovery Plan reaching all the concellos, including the smallest ones, both to rehabilitate their heritage, to improve services or to take advantage of their tourist potential. “It’s about guaranteeing people living in coastal and rural municipalities a future where they have the same opportunities for their entire neighborhood,” he said.
The delegate took advantage of the meeting with the mayor and the councilman to emphasize the government’s commitment to Rianxo. He recalled, in this sense, the celebrations this year 2025 for the 75th anniversary of the rianxeiro Afonso Daniel Rodríguez Castelao. During the meeting, the delegate and the mayor studied the possibility of cooperating in new initiatives of the council with the common objective of “continuing to transform the municipality”.
