The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, has today supported in Fitur the presentation of the promotional campaign of the Greenway Compostela-Tambre-Tabs, which, under the slogan ‘Athletes of the Way’, promotes the Association of Municipalities located around this itinerary, which connects Santiago with Cerdeda taking advantage of the old railway route.
Pedro Blanco congratulated the heads of the Association and the Deputation of A Coruña, entity that opted for the recovery of this space for the citizens and for its value in tourism, making it an example of sustainable tourism and dynamizer of the territory that the Government of Spain defends. And he stressed that one out of every two municipalities in Galicia are benefiting from this transformation through their participation in the 43 tourism sustainability plans that are under way with the help of the Government.
To these values, the delegate added the capacity of the promoters to take advantage of the calls of the Government to make this project possible. Thus, he recalled that he received investments from the Government that were destined to pay for part of the construction and also to improve its tourist use, through the Tourism Sustainability Plan financed by the Ministry of Industry and Tourism and in which he inscribes the campaign presented this noon.
