The government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, held a working meeting today with the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, María M. Allegue, in which they strengthened the collaboration between the Government and the Xunta to promote the urban planning and development of the Galician municipalities. This meeting served to highlight the climate of understanding and dialogue that both administrations maintain with respect for this sensitive matter, which directly affects the economic and social progress of the Autonomous Community.
During the meeting, which took place in the Government Delegation, in A Coruña, both public officials also reviewed the programs in which the Government collaborates with the Xunta to expand the public housing park for social rent and promote the energy rehabilitation of the buildings. At this point, both agreed that cooperation and institutional loyalty are key to materialize the important investments that Galicia receives for this matter.
This meeting served to monitor the degree of implementation of the projects in different towns and cities of Galicia, some of them at a very advanced stage. The fact that these investments are part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan imposes strict execution deadlines.
Finally, they also analyzed the programs promoted by both administrations to finance the rental or purchase of housing in villas and municipalities of the demographic challenge, through the State Plan of Access to Housing 2022-2025.
