Abel Losada announces that the works of the Fire Brigade begin next Monday

The subdelegate of the Government in Pontevedra, Abel Losada, comes from informing that the works of remodeling of the northern link of Pontevedra of the AP-9, popularly known as the Fire Brigade, will begin next Monday, day 29. The Government delegate in Galicia, Pedro Blanco, will supervise the start of the project, together with the subdelegate and the head of the Road Demarcation in Galicia, Ángel del Río, with a visit that will take place at 11.30 a.m. The mayor of Pontevedra, #Miguel Anxo Fernández Lores, is invited to the event.
Losada stressed that “next Monday a historical debt will be paid to this city.” “The government of Pedro Sánchez complies with Pontevedra; it complies with what it promises and, in addition, it complies with the unfulfilled promises of others.” This respect recalled that the Government of Rajoy proposed a rather more modest work, of barely 6 million euros, and intended to finance it with tolls. “Now we are talking about a work of 10 million euros while applying in the AP-9 the biggest bonuses in history.” The deputy delegate of the Government stressed that “it must be said loud and clear that this work was blocked by the previous Government and that there was a lot of hard work to carry it out and it is necessary to mention here the previous deputy delegate, Maica Larriba”.
The subdelegate stresses that the new design of the Fire Brigade will mean a momentous improvement in the safety and fluidity of the access and exit flows to Pontevedra, thanks to a new infrastructure of much greater capacity and efficiency.
Losada recalled that this is an infrastructure of great technical complexity, which will require the implementation of a traffic plan during its execution. The work represents a total investment of 9.9 million euros. It was awarded to the company Comsa.
