Ourense, May 22, 2024.- The subdelegation of the Government in Ourense congratulates and recognizes the tireless and selfless work and commitment of the agents of the Civil Guard for the 180th anniversary of the foundation of the State security corps.
Acting Government Deputy Delegate Manuel Arias expressed special thanks for “effectively protecting people and property” over the years, as stated in his founding decree. In addition to being a body that uses its efforts to guarantee the safety of all orenanas and ourensanos regardless of where they live, as well as knowing how to adapt to the times and to the great changes such as the unstoppable work carried out by the detection of cybercrimes and the protection of the victims of gender violence.
An exemplary work, sustained, without exception, by the pillars of respect, consideration and understanding for the citizen.
During the event, chaired by the Acting Lieutenant Colonel Chief of the Civil Guard Command, Rafael Berguillo, a presentation of decorations was made, among which he highlighted the tribute made by the Command to the former deputy delegate of the Government, Emilio González Afonso, for his years of service at the head of the administration and his work with the hand tended to improve the situation of citizen security in the rural and the remodeling of the barracks throughout the province.
