Ourense, April 2, 2024.- The subdelegate of the Government in Ourense, Emilio González, has today highlighted the high effectiveness of the employment policies that are being developed by the central Government and that have repercussions with very positive employment data in the province of Ourense as reflected in the statistics published today by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy on the employment data for the month of March that reflect that we are at historic lows. The Subdelegate points out as a good news for the province with data that reflect that we are the second Galician province with a lower unemployment rate. According to the published statistics, the province of Ourense fell by 167 unemployed people less, with respect to the same period of the year 2023. In March 2023 there were 16,553 people in this situation compared to 15,386 published this morning. In the province, records in the sectors of agriculture, construction and services are falling substantially, a symptom of the active employment policies advocated by the Government with the promotion of indefinite contracts, the modernization of collective negotiations and investment in young employment or the boost in the digtalization of the SEPE; which are reflected in an increase in social security affiliations with 165 new contributors in the month of March compared to the previous month.
INCREASED SOCIAL SECURITY AFFILIATIONS
With regard to social security, the sub-delegate focuses on improving the quality and stability of employment with an increase in the province of 1,072 affiliations to social security more than in March last year.
